Nord Pool Spot saw its monthly volumes exceed 500 GWh for July in the Estonian bidding area. This is the highest monthly Elspot volumes traded since the Estonian bidding area was launched in April 2010.
The traded volume in July reached 539 GWh, and is the second month in a row reaching an all-time high volume. The high volumes can be attributed to several new participants trading in the Estonian bidding area, as well as a growing activity of other participants.
Total net volume traded in the Estonian bidding area since 1 January 2011 is 2.2 TWh. As of today there are 18 members trading in the Estonian bidding area.
