Nord Pool Spot is upgrading the hardware infrastructure for the trading and price calculation system for Elspot, SESAM.
The upgrade launch is planned to start Wednesday 2 May at 14:15 CET, and be finalized no later than Thursday 3 May at 06:30 CET. For our members trading in the Elspot market, this means that the SESAM Web system will be closed and it will not be possible to send orders through EDIEL for Elspot during the hours of implementation.
A final confirmation of the launch date will be communicated 18 April.
After the upgrade is finished, members shall continue to use the same mail addresses and SESAM Web addresses. The SESAM Web login ID, Password and Digipass will remain the same as well.
However, the physical IP addresses will be changed and due to this all members need to verify that access is working to the new system prior to the upgrade launch. For this Nord Pool Spot has allocated two member testing sessions prior to production upgrade.
Member testing
First member test will be towards primary site and will take place on Thursday 12 April between 14:00-17:00 CET. Second member test will be towards back up site and will take place on Wednesday 18 April between 14:00-17:00 CET.
For both test days the members shall use the temporary test mail address editest@elspot.newprod.nordpoolspot.com when sending orders in EDIEL. For sending test orders in SESAM Web the members shall log in to the temporary test Web address elspottest.newprod.nordpoolspot.com and use same user and password as well as Digipass as they normally do in production.
In addition all members are asked to test connectivity to our trading system as soon as possible on the morning 3 May.
All members will receive an e-mail directly with information about the member testing.
