The Swedish Peak Load Capacity consists of both production and load reduction with a total capacity of 1500 MW. The winter period starts 16 November 2014 and ends 15 March 2015.
Readiness of the production plants are 16 hours. Load reduction can start within 15 minutes.
Activation of peak load capacity for Elspot in Sweden and Finland are based on the same activation rules as last winter. The activation rules were published in Exchange Information No. 61/2011 Activation of peak load capacity for Elspot in Finland and Sweden during winter 2011/2012.
