Nord Pool Spot, Europe’s leading power market, has today (Thursday 11h June) announced the successful launch of its new Day Ahead Web trading system.
The Day Ahead Web system represents a wide ranging modernisation and upgrade to replace the company’s previous Sesam Web access system for Nord Pool Spot’s customers, bringing with it great customisation options, superb functionality, simplicity and speed.
The new system has gone live after a period of extensive customer testing for performance and reliability. It reduces the amount of time it takes for Nord Pool Spot customers to administer their daily trades and reporting requirements, allowing orders and checks to be made faster.
The new system has been introduced for registered Nord Pool Spot customers in the Nordic and Baltic, with the UK market N2EX to be included at a future date.
Mikael Lundin, CEO at Nord Pool Spot, said: “Our new Day Ahead Web trading system is the latest delivery in an on-going thorough upgrade and renewal of the technology Nord Pool Spot uses to make our customers’ lives simpler.
“To its users Day Ahead Web will look and feel like a brand new system and gives us the scope to quickly and easily introduce new products and to improve existing ones, so that we can adapt it to suit our customers’ changing needs.
“Day Ahead Web is just one of the improvements we are making to help us achieve our goal of bringing multi-market benefits and ‘straight through’ trading to all our customers, regardless of their size or where they trade from.”
