In just a week - from Wednesday 7 October - Article 8 of REMIT comes into force and all market participants will have to provide ACER with a record of their wholesale energy market transactions through a selected Registered Reporting Mechanisms (RRM).
Nord Pool Spot is an RRM and so far more than 230 of our members have signed-up for Nord Pool Spot REMIT Transaction Reporting Services. This provides automated reporting of contracts traded on Nord Pool Spot/N2EX day-ahead and intraday markets directly to the ACER system, simply and efficiently meeting all participant obligations under REMIT.
Where a market participant’s chosen solution is not ready for the 7 October deadline, Nord Pool Spot can act as an interim RRM. Nord Pool Spot can also deliver ACER XML files on behalf of a market participant to a third party RRM, or directly to the market participant.
If you have any questions regarding REMIT reporting, read more about our service or contact your Regional Market Manager.
