The September statistics from Nord Pool show a total of 381.5 TWh of power traded so far this year across all our markets, up from 374.4 TWh in 2017.
September volumes include:
Nordic and Baltic day-ahead market 28.00 TWh (28.32 TWh – September 2017)
UK day-ahead market 9.06 TWh (9.37 TWh - September 2017)
Intraday markets 0.75 TWh (of which 0.39 TWh was traded between our customers and those of other power exchanges)*
The Nordic/Baltic System Price was calculated at 47.98 EUR/MWh (31.59 EUR/MWh – September 2017).
*NB The method of calculating intraday volume changed due to the introduction of XBID on 12th June 2018. The volume quoted now includes trades between our customers and those of other power exchanges, through XBID.
