Nord Pool would like to make you aware that the risk price parameters used in our margin model for the calculation of collateral calls are being adjusted.
To account for bank holidays during the Easter period, the Day Factor in the collateral model will be adjusted from 3 to 5 days. The Day Factor will be reduced back down to 3 days on Tuesday 23 April, bringing collateral requirements back to the regular level by Wednesday, 24 April.
The Risk Price parameter will also be adjusted.
The adjustment is in accordance with the Standard Terms for Trading and Clearing in Nord Pool’s markets.
The adjustment will be implemented, and the new requirements visible in our Clearing and Settlement system, CASS, on the afternoon of Wednesday 10 April. Members should then arrange to have sufficient increases of collateral in place as soon as possible, however, by no later than the absolute deadline of 11:00 CET Friday 12 April.
Included is the Nord Pool clearing schedule for Easter 2019, outlining the dates over this period on which invoicing and cash settlements will occur.
