The Swedish peak load capacity consists of both production and load reduction with a total capacity of 1719 MW. The winter period starts 16 November 2012 and ends 15 March 2013.
Readiness of the production plants are 16 hours. Load reduction can start within 15 minutes.
Activation of peak load capacity for Elspot in Sweden and Finland are based on the same activation rules as winter 2011/2012. The activation rules were published in Exchange Information No. 61/2011 - Activation of peak load capacity for Elspot in Finland and Sweden during winter 2011/2012.
