Nord Pool regularly receives requests from members regarding interpretations of REMIT. There is significant uncertainty regarding how to interpret the prohibitions of insider trading and market manipulation. Nord Pool would like to contribute to addressing these challenges, and invites interested members to take part in an expert group to discuss these issues on a regular basis.

It will be up to regulatory authorities in each country to decide on interpretations of REMIT. The group will therefore focus on addressing different challenges, and discuss possible solutions. This may result in common questions to be directed to regulators, recommendations for best practices, or other initiatives to address the challenges and risks related to REMIT.

We invite members and sector specific organisations to take part in the expert group. We expect the participants to contribute with relevant expertise and actively engage in discussions in the group. It is desirable that you continue with the same representative over some time to ensure continuity in the discussions.
