During the course of Friday 26th November, Nord Pool initiated an investigation of the System Price produced for Saturday 27th November.
This investigation has shown that the difference experienced between Area Prices and the System Price in the Nordics was triggered by a configuration of the topology change (creating the virtual area NO2A) for the system price calculation.
Unfortunately, it seems this configuration has been present since the introduction of the NO2A area on Tuesday 9th November 2021.
As a result, regrettably, the Nord Pool Nordic System Price has been calculated with this configuration in place, since that date.
Our team has made relevant corrections, tested and deployed a solution this morning (Saturday 27th November).
We have now begun recalculating the System Price for all hours since Tuesday 9th November. We will inform the market as soon as these results are available.
We apologise to all customers for the inconvenience that this situation has created.
