When SDAC 15-minute goes live, estimated for 11 June 2025, official Day-Ahead prices from the Market Data API will be provided in 15-minute resolution. For users who require different resolutions, Nord Pool has introduced new index endpoints, offering bidding zone prices and system price indices in 60-minute and 30-minute resolution. 15-minute resolution will also be available in price index endpoints for users who wish to test before the SDAC 15-minute go-live.
The change only applies to delivery dates after go-live date. For example, if SDAC go-live date is on 11 June 2025, the prices will be updated in 15-minute resolution after the auction run on 11 June, for delivery on 12 June 2025 (starting with the 00:00-00:15 CET contract period).
Additionally, a new screen and report (Report Type: AuctionPriceIndex) has been added to the Data Portal, where price indices are normalized per selected resolution for a specific delivery area or group of areas.
This is a non-breaking change for existing customers who do not require additional resolutions and prefer getting prices in the official resolution (currently 60 minutes, and after SDAC go-live, 15 minutes) by the existing endpoints:
