Nord Pool’s General Counsel, Camilla Berg, joined Nord Pool in 2009. She is a seasoned legal expert with a wealth of experience in the energy industry. With over 14 years of international leadership experience, she has played a pivotal role in developing European energy markets during a period of continuous growth and development. Her expertise in European energy law and regulation has earned her recognition as a regional expert on wholesale energy. “I am driven by being able to contribute to the development of the market, to accommodate for the green shift in line with customers need and by working in the exciting interface between a commercial market, strong regulation and political impact,” Camilla emphasizes. Being embed with exceptional leadership skills and an ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks, Camilla has responsibility for all areas of the company's legal and regulatory functions, including Nord Pool’s dedicated Market Surveillance unit, which monitors trading activities and investigates possible breaches of REMIT. “Our joint focus is to ensure that Nord Pool continues to be the leading European power exchange and develops the European integrated electricity market to integrate the green shift in the best interests of our customers and society,” says Camilla who is energized by spending time with her colleagues. “They are great people and extremely competent,” she points out. Prior to joining Nord Pool, Camilla held the position as General Counsel at Think Global and as a lawyer at law firm Selmer DA. She holds various board positions in addition to memberships of ACER (the Agency for Cooperation of Energy Regulators) expert groups and is a twice European Counsel Awards winner. Camilla has a Master’s in law from the University of Oslo. |
